Build a fleet cost baseline
Set fleet size, kilometres and holding period, then account for vehicle cost, energy, maintenance, insurance, drivers, downtime and resale. Adjust defaults to your contracts and operating records.
See a worked example and assumptions
Illustrative fleet: 10 vehicles each costing ₹12 lakh, plus ₹6 lakh in running costs per vehicle, minus ₹4 lakh resale per vehicle over the holding period gives ₹1.4 crore net cost before finance, driver costs and downtime. Divide by actual lifetime kilometres to compare cost per km. Include the omitted costs in your calculation.
