Research methodology
How to read an Autiqa output.
The useful question is not only whether a number exists, but what it measures, which period it covers and what decision it can support.
01
Registration evidence
Autiqa currently presents supported Indian passenger-vehicle registration evidence. Registrations are not wholesale dispatches, retail invoices or a complete measure of every market activity.
02
Periods and freshness
Every approved output should identify its release, observation period and reporting cutoff. Partial periods must remain visibly different from complete periods.
03
Classifications
Manufacturer, fuel, geography and vehicle classifications are mapped to canonical labels. Unknown values should remain unresolved rather than silently changing the denominator.
04
Ownership economics
Gross ownership cost and resale-adjusted cost are different measures. Vehicle price, finance, utilisation, energy, maintenance and resale assumptions remain visible and versioned.
05
Samples and production
Public samples demonstrate structure and workflow. They do not imply production scope, freshness, credentials, service levels or a purchasable entitlement.
06
Corrections
Research and release pages should carry version or correction notes when the underlying evidence, calculation or interpretation changes.
